Stable Life's mission is to support young people in the Borders who are experiencing personal challenges in their lives. We offer weekly sessions at Dryden Farm and get great results. Can you help transporting them?

Role Description:
Using own vehicle collect young people from schools across the Borders and transport them to Stable Life at Dryden Farm. You will be allocated a specific town and group of children to enable you to build a relationship with the young people. These relationships will be based on friendship, trust and enjoyment. Whilst the sessions are running you will be welcome to participate in various activities at Stable Life including working in the groups with horses, maintenance, environment & gardening, life skills. The young people will then be transported back to school. Sessions will take up 3 to 4 hours depending on the distances involved.

Organisation aims and objectives

Stable Life is a registered charity working with vulnerable young people between 10 and 18 years of age in the Scottish Borders who are experiencing personal challenges. We offer a safe, nurturing and learning experience using the horse and its surroundings to help young people reach their full potential and become healthier and happier.











Experience required: Full Driving Licence, own car, business use insurance and have a few hours to spare weekly. You will be comfortable and enjoy spending time with young people. You don’t need any qualifications to become a Stable Life volunteer, it’s your personality and life skills which count.
