Description

The museum has a craft area and offers craft activities for children from 5 years old, to adults of all ages. All the sessions are run by volunteers. The groups are a maximum of 10 people and run for 1 and a half to 2 hours plus tidy up.

Organisation aims and objectives

Fife Folk Museum was founded to collect and preserve the artefacts representing work and lifestyles in Fife form the earliest times to the present day. As interest grows in local history, it is important to improve public access to the Museum. This means that a greater number of volunteers is essential to provide for the longer opening hourse.

6 months minimum commitment 3 - 4 hours per week

Restrictions

Experience required: Should have art and craft skills with good communication, to be able to help beginners with new skills. Someone who likes people in a small group setting. They will not be expected to work alone, support will always be provided
Travel details: At Fife Folk Museum, Ceres. There are buses to Ceres and if other volunteers are coming from your area a lift may be available.
Minimum age: 16
