Description

We require a person(s) to assist our programme tutor to drive our minibus to various locations throughout the city and ‘shire. Our clients enjoy participating in our gardening project, yoga, walking trips and various outdoor activities. These activities are aimed at promoting good mental health and wellbeing, confidence and self-management. Our programme runs Wed – Fri, 10am - 3pm. If you like working with people, are available for for all days or even just one, enjoy the outdoors and love driving, please give us a call.
Momentum Scotland is a not for profit, charity delivering vocational rehabilitation and employment services to adults with additional needs to employment including mental health and acquired brain injuries.

Organisation aims and objectives

Momentum’s services help a wide range of people, including those with a brain injury, spinal injury, mental health difficulty, physical or learning disability, in the areas of employment and training, job retention and community rehabilitation.

Restrictions

Experience required: An ability to understand equality and diversity and to be able to demonstrate this in their interaction with vulnerable adults
Travel details: Service is based at Momentum Scotland, Ruby House, Ruby Place, Aberdeen AB10 1ZP (01224 625580) As our driver you will be expected to take clients to and from their various activities throughout city and ‘shire . While there is no obligation to participate in the activities it is hoped that as part of the team you will enjoy the experiences and fun alongside the clients.

Expenses details: We pay public transport rates where appropriate.
Training details: Excellent support and relevant training provided to all volunteers. Volunteers are offered 1—1 supervision 4 – 6 weekly, and complete our basic induction programme.
