Description

Would you like to help children and young people engage in activities to build their skills and confidence and engage in their local community? The participation support volunteer role will assist in providing and supporting activities for young people.

This role will involve interacting with young people aged 10 - 18 years via a variety of activities e.g. arts, crafts, DJ workshops and general youth work at our weekly sessions as well as at our National events that happen throughout the year.

Restrictions

Experience required: Experience of working with children (not essential), a knowledge of issues affecting children and young people, an ability to work well with children and good communication and listening skills.

Minimum age: 18

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Mileage rate of 45 pence per mile, all public transport expenses reimbursed with receipts monthly.
Taster available: Yes
Taster details: Observation sessions offered before accepted.
Training details: Full induction and child protection training provided before starting. Ongoing training offered and regular support and supervision.
