There are a wide variety of different volunteering opportunities within the Health and Well-being team. Fitness sessions, Health walks, Dance, Gentle movement, Outdoor play, Sports activities, Gardening, Early year play activities, Family fun activities, Administration and Events.
The projects main philosophy has been to create opportunities for children and young people from Dundee’s most deprived areas to participate in physical activity and sport, along with using sport as a tool to raise attainment levels, increase employability prospects and reduce anti-social behaviour levels. The team delivers 6 main programmes; Participation Programme, Diversionary Programme, Learn Thru Sport Programme, Springboard Programme, Volunteer Development Programme and Holiday Programme.

Experience required: All you need is enthusiasm, free time and an interest in supporting people in health, physical activity or sport setting.
Travel details: Sessions take place at various locations across the city.

Taster available: Yes
Taster details: The volunteer would be invited along to a session to see how it runs and given an opportunity to ask any questions about the role.
Training details: The volunteer will receive an induction & training specific to the volunteer role they wish to take on, and will be supported throughout by the programme manager.
