As part of YeAABA’s executive committee the treasurer plays a key role in the club through being responsible for the club’s finances.

The treasurer will be responsible for maintaining financial records of income and expenditure; liaise with other committee members as required; providing monthly financial reports for executive and monthly management committee meetings; providing guidance to the wider committee on availability and timing for spending for the benefit of the club members; maintain cashflow through meeting payments in a timely manner; prepare annual financial statements for annual general meeting and independent examination; prepare annual statements for submissions to HMRC for Gift Aid.

Organisation aims and objectives

A) Promote and manage the teaching, knowledge and practice of one or more Aqua Sports, in accordance with paragraph C2.2 and C2.5 of the SASA Constitution. B) The main purpose of the club is to provide facilities, opportunities and encouragement for members.










he role of the treasurer is dependent on self-discipline and can be completed with-in a time-scale of 4-6 hours per week, working independently. Additional time is required to attend Club meetings 2-3 hours per month.


Trustees for a charity need to be over 18
Experience required: The role of treasurer will require good IT and presentation skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, would be an advantage. An understanding of the basic principles of Book-keeping, a financial interest and an understanding of the responsibilities of Charity Trusteeship would be essential for this role.

Training details: The successful candidate will become a co-opted member of the YeAABA Committee until elected at the AGM in May 2019. During this time the current treasurer will provide training on current procedures.
