Abilitynet are looking for volunteers to:
Troubleshoot technical issues, offer impartial advice on technology, set up new tech and install hardware and software. Show people how to use their tech at home and make adaptations to support a disabled person's specific technology needs.

Organisation aims and objectives

AbilityNet exists to improve the lives of people with disabilities and older people, by helping them to use computers and other digital technology to achieve their goals at home, at work and in education. We achieve this through services including our free helpline, on-demand webinars, factsheets and My Computer My Way which is a unique guide to the many ways you can adjust your desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone to make it easier to use. We also have a network of highly skilled IT volunteers who visit people in their homes or assist remotely to fix a variety of IT problems and offer expert advice and information on digital technology.


Experience required: A passion to help others. Good IT and computer skills. Knowledge of standard operating systems and software. The ability to communicate with others. Your own transport or good transport links.
Travel details: Local area to volunteer.
Minimum age: 16
