Description

We are looking for 2 volunteers, with an interest in badminton, to assist facilitating a weekly session for up to 12 adults, ranging from 18-60 yrs, recovering from mental health issues. You will assist an NHS staff member in welcoming members and supporting them to take part. An ability and willingness to play badminton when required, would be a bonus.

We are looking for two volunteers to share this role which would work out as commitment of 2 sessions per month approximately.

Monday mornings, 2 hours per week. We are looking for two volunteers to share this role which would work out as commitment of 2 sessions per month approximately. 6 month commitment minimum.

Restrictions

Experience required: Someone with good communication skills, ability to motivate others and a positive outlook. An interest in, and ability to play badminton would be helpful.
Travel details: The group takes place at. Newbattle Community Campus, Newbattle Way, Easthouses, EH22 4SX. Accessible by Lothian Bus 48.
Minimum age: 16

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We will reimburse travel expenses for travel to and from the venue, either mileage or bus fares.
Training details: Volunteers are required to do generic induction plus local training for the role. OTs support the role and will be with the volunteer
