Lunch club sales also helps to bring in a small income for the Finmill Centre charity. Finmill Centre is a small but vibrant community centre located in Findcastle Street in Fintry.

Main activities include to prepare and serve hot soup & toasties to customers when required; clear and wash the customer tables as required; sweep and mop floors on either side of the serving counter as required; wash and dry dishes and utensils or operate dishwasher; keep all food preparation areas and cooking surfaces clean; keep ingredients, condiments & supplies topped up and containers clean; keep food covered at all times; attend and participate at staff meetings as and when required; comply with any food & hygiene, health & safety regulations and food safety systems in place, including Cooksafe; record coffee bar customer purchases and keep a daily user survey record.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Centre Management Group work in partnership with Dundee City Council to deliver services and activities to the community through the Centre Programme. The Group is committed to the success of the café and will it through ensuring equipment and the kitchen is fit for purpose. The Centre promotes inclusion, community learning and development by: providing social, educational, recreational opportunities and facilities, helping communities to work together to promote regeneration creating, building and developing partnerships.










10am to 2pm. 1 day per week, over term time only.


Under 16’s would be in education at this time.
Experience required: Hospitality or catering.
