Help with the running and promotion of newly established community interest company helping remove barriers to cycling and making cycling accessible to all by coordinating social media. The Social Media Coordinator will be expected to promote West Lothian Bike Library activities, social objectives, overall goals and brand of the Community Interest Company on facebook, twitter, other social media as appropriate, with future potential for website responsibility. The purpose of the Social Media coordinator is to raise the profile of West Lothian Bike Library with the aim of increasing use by individuals experiencing health inequalities and increasing donations and income generation.
As a representative of West Lothian Bike Library, it is essential that the Social Media Coordinator is familiar with the goals and ethos of the CIC and ensures that any engagement and communication is in line with this. Publications will be subject to prior approval of the Board of Directors.
Key duties:Regular posting on facebook, twitter and other social media as appropriate
• Use of social media tools to optimise effectiveness of posts
• Responding to messages/comments within agreed boundaries
• Timely referrals to Project Coordinator to provide response to queries out with remit
What level of commitment is required for this role?
Regular updates and monitoring of social media is required. Posts can be pre-scheduled using social media tools, so a weekly commitment of around one hour per week would be adequate for posting. Checking comments and direct messages would also be expected throughout the week but responsibility for this will be shared.

West Lothian Bike Library is a not for profit, community interest company. We help people to get active and connected through cycling and associated activity. We aim to tackle inequalities in health by making cycling an activity for all, regardless of background, income or ability.
