Description

Our admin systems are computer based and increasingly will be available to members on mobile and tablet. Our office wants to be accessible and helpful for the whole community - some are not online, some cant deal with forms, some want to know how much is in their account, etc. Your role will be member-facing on telephone or "in person" in the office. You may do general office tasks like data entry or filing or scanning when phones are quiet. You may have an aptitude or experience to take on more responsible roles-like credit control, loans processing etc.

The Aims for our Members:- To Provide a secure and fair financial service, To Provide a source of saving and credit service to members To Promote financial responsibility To encourage members to take an active role in their Credit Union To manage the savings of members for their benefits The Aims for our Community:- To Promote public awareness and understanding of Credit Unions Work in partnership to prevent financial exclusion To work in financial partnership with the wider community To encourage members to participate in their local community We want to market the Credit Union to increase membership, provide accessible information for members which helps people make financial choices - Money Advice To encourage Volunteers by promoting skills development and sharing expertise To encourage membership involvement in the decision making of thier Credit Union.

One day or two half days per week. office currently open Tuesday to Friday. Can be flexible to accommodate school holidays etc. Minimum commitment 1 year.

Restrictions

Volunteers must be able to commit to minimum of 1 or two half days per week.
Experience required: Previous office/admin experience is a plus. the post would also suit someone wishing to gain office experience but we would expect that would be in conjunction with an appropriate Further Education course
Travel details: Our office is at 10 Spittal Street in Stirling city centre (top of king street). Convenient for travel by bus or train. We do not have car parking.

Training details: We offer on-line skills training in topics relevant to Credit Unions through our trade association.
