The purpose of this role is to support Borders Services to raise funds to enhance Alzheimer Scotland’s support to people with dementia and their carers.
This may include participating in and/or supporting activities such as fundraising collections, motivating our event participants as part of a Cheer Squad, researching possible opportunities for our charity and/or raining awareness about our service(s), staffing stands at memory walks and other planned events. These roles may at times require lone working.
Role Description:
To provide support for people with dementia and their carers.
Experience required: Caring nature.
Willing to enable and support a person living with dementia and their family.
Good listening skills.
Empathy and patience.
Travel details: Scottish Borders wide – Various locations to suit volunteer
Minimum age: 16

Training details: Induction, Moving and Assisting, ongoing skills training.
