This is a wonderful opportunity to support a young man with a learning difficulty in Glencaple to go out and about in the local area to meet and greet people, have snacks, go shopping, the cinema, do activity pass-times and to really spend time feeling included in the community.
The role is designed to be fun but with meaningful outcomes for enjoyment, inclusion and health and wellbeing..
To assist people with disabilities throughout the world, regardless of their colour or creed, by providing the conditions necessary for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
We prefer at least 6 months and long term relationships
Experience required: Reliable, flexible and responsible person with an empathy for supporting people with disability to enjoy being out and about and feel more included.
No care tasks are involved and wheelchair training will be given.
Travel details: Glencaple or Dumfries. Volunteer travel expenses are paid
