Description

Bite & Blether Cafe runs on a Thursday from 12-2pm, to offer local people a 3 course meal for 3 pounds, along with a place to meet and socialise. It's a friendly place to be and volunteers are needed mostly in the kitchen but also to serve - you should have a relaxed and friendly relationship when dealing with cafe users.
Volunteers are needed from 9.30am to start preparing and cooking meals. Serving food as well as clearing is also required, finishing around 2.30/3.00pm. If volunteers are unable to manage all of this time, it might be possible to split the shift so that you cover either the beginning or later part.
If you already have a Food Hygiene certificate, that would be great but if not, the committee will look at arranging training for you.
Travelling expenses can be re-imbursed.
