Gentle Seated Exercise group leader (Alyth)

  • VO72340

Description

Caledonia HA has Retirement Complexes across Perth/shire providing accommodation for older people and we also provide support for other housing associations. Each Housing Scheme is a small community. We are recruiting friendly, sociable and creative volunteers to organise gentle seated exercise classes. These are small groups usually of between 3 and 9 people per class, run weekly. The exercise programme is designed to be gentle for people with limited mobility and for those who spend most of the day sitting down. Good fun –full training and equipment will be provided.

Organisation aims and objectives

Caledonia Housing Association developed the volunteer project to support older people living in sheltered housing and the wider community, to live independently and enjoy life. The volunteer project is particularly focused on reducing social isolation and loneliness; and promoting health and wellbeing.
