Can you help driving members to our bingo group – all help greatly appreciated
Woodside Community Centre is looking for people to drive members from their homes in various locations across the city, to the centre to play bingo on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evening. The minibus is parked in the car park at the Woodside Fountain Centre, Marquis Road, Aberdeen. Good support is provided to all volunteers and all help makes a real difference.

Volunteer Drivers

Volunteers required to drive a 17-seater minibus for an over 50s walking group based at Kaimhill Learning Centre, Pitmedden Terrace, Aberdeen AB10 7HR. Drivers should be over 25 and under 70 and have category D1 on their driving licence. We are a friendly group who walk on Thursdays leaving the centre at 9.30am and usually return around mid afternoon. We normally walk between 5 and 7 miles and most drivers in the past have been happy to walk with the group but this is not a requirement! Prospective volunteers will be given support to familiarise themselves with the vehicle and are welcome to come along on a walk to see what is involved. A fantastic opportunity to help. Volunteer Drivers

Re-engage is a charity which supports a network of volunteers to run monthly tea parties for isolated people over the age of 75. The charity hold afternoon tea parties on a Sunday once a month . You would pick up elderly guest(s) and take them to tea party and stay to enjoy 2 hours of tea , cake and chat . You can be a regular or reserve driver . Regular would be every month , reserve as and when needed . You get dates of parties well in advance . We have a fantastic team of volunteers in Aberdeen and have exciting opportunities for new people to join us. The role of Volunteers within our community was vitally important. It is recognised that support is required for a number of vulnerable and elderly people so Community Support organisations are available to provide support to those who need it most.
