Description

In this role, you will welcome visitors to our learning centre, answer telephones and make follow-up calls to clients, ensure records are kept up-to-date and files maintained, prepare learning materials to support trainers, keep trainee records, update database, filing, photocopying & scanning and support the team at marketing events.

Organisation aims and objectives

To promote the inclusion of young people from school leaving age up to the age of 25 and to empower them to progress towards independent living. This is achieved by providing a wide range of activities, including Art asnd Crafts, Budgeting, Basic Cookery, employability and recreational outings

Restrictions

Experience required: The ability to use basic IT (Microsoft packages). Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people of all different backgrounds.
Travel details: DEAP Dundee,10-12 Ward Road,DD1 1LX easily accessible by bus
Minimum age: 16

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Public transport costs reimbursed on production of tickets purchased. Mileage paid at 45p/mile.
Taster available: Yes
Taster details: DEAP will arrange for a short two-hour taster session prior to agreement
Training details: Induction into DEAP as an organisation, meet the staff, and provide an overview of what the job entails. Training by work shadowing, informal in house training, and or accredited short courses.
