CLAN charity shop Lerwick require volunteers who will help in their busy shop.
Morning volunteers duties include: attending a handover meeting, general duties - switch on shop and cabinet lights and the till. Dusting cabinet, computer and jewellery section. Serve customers. Sort till float and work will till and credit card machine while serving customers. Keep the shop floor tidy (pick up and rehang clothes). Put out priced clothes and other items.
Afternoon volunteers duties include: Attending handover meetings. Serve customers, working with cash and credit card machine. Keep the shop floor tidy (pick up and rehang clothes). Put out priced items. At the end of the day - count out float, cash up and switch off till. Switch of lights, empty the bin and tidy up work area, wash up mugs.

Organisation aims and objectives

The CLAN Charity Shop plays a vital role in raising funds for CLAN. CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established, local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland.










Monday to Saturday - mornings 9.50am - 1pm, afternoons 12.50 - 4pm.


Experience required: Friendly disposition, enjoys working with customers and looks neat and presentable, ability to work with money and cash machine. Work as a team. Saturday volunteers willing to open and close the shop without a member of staff present. (they will be on call). Training and induction will be provided.
