Description

CLAN charity shop Lerwick require volunteers who will help with sorting through donations and hanging up merchandise. The volunteer would be expected to attend handover meetings before their shift. They would ensure any bric-a-brac is washed and cleaned before pricing and/or placed in the box for the shop floor. They will also recycle all other items not suitable for shop sale, call appropriate person when recycle areas are full. Volunteers will price items according to guidelines, test any battery operated donations, count puzzle pieces, check games, CDs and DVDs and sort books. When finishing a shift volunteers tidy up work area, including emptying bins and wash tea cups.

The CLAN Charity Shop plays a vital role in raising funds for CLAN. CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established, local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland.

Restrictions

Experience required: Friendly disposition, keen eye for detail, team work. Training and induction will be provided.
