Description

We’re looking for a female volunteer to assist our Support Worker accompany an older woman, who has multiple support needs, with her much loved weekly swimming session. The role will suit someone who has a calm/friendly/reassuring manner and is comfortable in the pool. The woman supported wears a swimming aid at all times and uses a swimming noodle. The role does not include responsibility for the woman’s safety/personal care nor does it require any life-saving skills

Restrictions

Must undergo PVG check and provide 2 references
Experience required: No experience necessary. Instruction, support and training provided
Travel details: Gorbals Leisure Centre, 275 Ballater Street, G5 0YP (45 minutes in pool, one morning per week, day to suit volunteer)
Minimum age: 17

Taster available: Yes
Taster details: All volunteers must have 2 references and a Disclosure PVG check will be done. This will all be organised by Cosgrove Care
