Produce Collectors

  • VO71841

The Allotment Market Stall provides good-quality, well-priced, locally grown fruit and vegetables and reduces waste. We have volunteering opportunities helping to collect produce from allotment sites and deliver it to the warehouse and to record amounts.

Main tasks involve:
*Visit allotment sites
*May have contact with allotment holders
*Help load/unload produce into van
*Help weigh and record amounts of produce collected
*Time commitment: Approximately 3 hours on Thursday afternoons for the growing season (mid-July to end-Oct). Only as many Thursdays as you are available, so it could be each week or even just a one-off.

Full training will be given and you will be accompanied.

This is a great opportunity to:
*Make a difference in your city and the environment
*Be a part of a community of growers
*Meet people and grow in confidence
