We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Hub Support Volunteers

  • VO71840

Description

Shelter Scotland has volunteer opportunities for people to assist as Hub Support Volunteers in our Shelter Hub at 36 Upperkirkgate, Aberdeen AB10 1BA.
Volunteers will provide initial contact for anybody dropping into the local hub or visiting community outreach sessions for support with their housing issues.
Volunteers will talk to people about their needs then support them to access information on our website, complete forms, or access another service. There could be some admin and data input.
Excellent training and support is provided to all volunteers. Includes two separate inductions lasting two hours each. After the first induction you will attend the hub each week at regular agreed volunteering time to complete mandatory training.
This is a role for someone who is empathetic and passionate about reducing homelessness or housing issues in Scotland. It would suit somebody who would like experience in an advice or support role.
A fantastic opportunity to help and make a real difference. All help is greatly appreciate. For more information please contact Anthea Reid, Volunteer Support Officer at E Mail: anthea_reid@shelter.org.uk or tel: 07880458572.
