We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Description

Fun, friendly volunteers required to join our fabulous team! We urgently need help to ensure that our tenant lunch clubs continue.

The Role
We are looking for friendly and fun volunteers to join our volunteer team at West Port in Linlithgow. We encourage a variety of social activities within our developments to support older people, helping to reduce isolation and loneliness. At West Port the tenants enjoy getting together for a lunch club on a Tuesday and Wednesday, 11am – 1.30pm, but they urgently need some support from volunteers if the activity is to continue.
You will gain valuable experience, learn new skills, meet new people, have fun and contribute to your local community. There is no cost to you and all out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Bield will provide full training and ongoing support and you will get the opportunity to meet other likeminded volunteers at our social events. Ideally we ask for a minimum commitment of six months but we can be flexible depending on what you have to offer. If you can spare some time each week or two, you can help transform lives and reduce loneliness. We’d love to hear from you!
