South Haugh Conservation Volunteer

  • VO71703

Description

Volunteers will undertake a series of conservation tasks including path maintenance, drainage works, woodland management, scrub clearing and removal of non-native invasive species. Occasionally more technical work is involved, such as building and installing benches.

Training is given for each task we undertake. Explanations as to why we are doing something and how we do it are given, as well as safe tool use and health and safety talks.

Volunteers need to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Bring a packed lunch, hot and cold drinks available.

The group meets every second Thursday of the month from 10:30am onwards.
