Description

Help to steer the Shed, increase membership and promote the activities of the Shed. Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere where members develop a sense of self worth through achievement and purpose. Trustees encourage others to be involved and to impart their skills and, where possible, to develop a range of activities and projects available. In general, to provide a solution for any problems which might arise.

Organisation aims and objectives

A community workshop offering opportunities for people to meet and undertake creative, physical and purposeful activities thus reducing isolation and improving physical and mental wellbeing.

Restrictions

Experience required: Experience in running a business, administration and leadership skills as well as good people skills would be an asset. A willingness to take responsibility for the day to day running of the Shed activities on a rota basis.
Travel details: Travel expenses not available.
Minimum age: 18

Taster available: Yes
Taster details: Interested persons are very welcome to visit the Shed during our opening hours (currently Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 4pm)
Training details: Trustee training available, if required, through the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.
