Food waste is a big issue in the UK and beyond. It’s estimated that a third of all food gets wasted. Most of this is avoidable and could have been eaten had it been better managed.
Help us look after the fridge in the following ways:
Gorebridge Community Development Trust is a charitable, non-profit body which delivers projects with Gorebridge and the surrounding area. It is an independent, volunteer and community-led organisation which is part of a large network of Development Trusts in Scotland.

3 hours per week initially for 3 months with possible extension.
Experience required: Interest in food, confident and happy to work on own. Friendly and helpful manner
Travel details: ‘29' and '33' bus route. It is easily accessible using Lothian Buses.

Training details: Induction session on volunteer role
Other training may include manually handling, food hygiene
