Description

Forth Valley Disability Sport is a local charity based in Stirling and operates in Stirling, Clackmannanshire and Falkirk areas. FVDS provide sporting opportunities to children, young people and adults with physical, sensory and learning disabilities. We operate throughout the Forth Valley area.

Volunteer Role:
We are looking for a Volunteer Organiser to help supervise and assist our team of volunteers.

Your responsibilities will include –
-Being a main point of contact and supervising volunteers. Getting to know each volunteer and their role, while ensuring every volunteer has a role description
-Ensure that volunteers understand their role and assist with any problems which may arise
-Ensure the smooth running of the project and ensuring each task is assigned to a volunteer
-Helping to ensure that volunteers receive the appropriate training and that volunteers have the chance to give their feedback, suggestions and ideas
-Helping to recruit new volunteers and making sure that all volunteers feel valued and appreciated

Organisation aims and objectives

FVDS aim to provide support through sport for individuals, both children and adults, with physical, sensory and learning disabilities within the Forth Valley area.

Restrictions

Experience required: -A strong interest in sport and helping disabled children and adults -Good organisational, time keeping, communication and people skills -Enthusiastic, approachable, reliable and trustworthy -Able to give a commitment of 2-3 hours per week
Minimum age: 16
