Description

Alzheimer Scotland are looking for volunteers to help support them by volunteering within their dementia cafe's across the whole of Lanarkshire. The cafes are set-up to provide support and information to people living with dementia and their carers, and gives service users and their carers the opportunity to interact with others. Volunteers are required to help make teas/coffees and have a blether.

Organisation aims and objectives

Alzheimers Scotland is leading specialist demeneia charity and works to improve the lives of everyone affected by dementia. We provide information and support and a network of services and support groups from more than 60 sites around Scotland. We also campaign to improve public policies and services for people with dementia and their carers.

4 hours twice per month. Min commitment: 4 month.

Restrictions

Volunteers must be 16yrs or over.
Experience required: No experience required as full training will be given. An interest in talking to people and the ability to drink tea and eat cake is all that is required.
Travel details: Various locations throughout Lanarkshire.
Minimum age: 16
