We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Description

We’re a small community centre in North Edinburgh looking for board members who would be interested in the development of the Prentice Centre. We own the building and although we receive a grant from the City of Edinburgh Council we need to generate a lot of income ourselves. The Board meet once a month, normally on a Monday lunchtime. We follow an agenda which is prepared and sent out in advance. Discussions take place on various issues, eg. Centre programming, Staffing, funding, etc.

Organisation aims and objectives

West Granton Community Trust, which manages The Prentice Centre, was set up as a focal point for the regeneration of West Granton.
