Volunteer Disability Speaker

Supported by the Volunteer Co-ordinator, this is a really enjoyable role delivering talks about Leonard Cheshire to the public in community venues, as and when arranged. Preprepared slides and IT projection equipment are available. The volunteer will meet new people, gain skills, broaden horizons and have lots of fun!

Organisation aims and objectives

To assist people with disabilities throughout the world, regardless of their colour or creed, by providing the conditions necessary for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.


Experience required: We are looking for a reliable, diligent, confident and personable volunteer who will present the charity in a very positive light when out and about in the community. Experience in delivering presentations using presentation aids is desired. Training and support will be given.
Travel details: Community venues around the region. A car and driving licence is desirable.
Minimum age: 16

Training details: Basic on-line or paper Induction modules are optional for this role and a host of other free of charge training courses are available for personal development
