Description

Volunteer for the following activities within the Fit for Life project :

Afterschool play sessions – Holiday Play Clubs – Child Health and Wellbeing Courses – trips and outings – one-off events such as Lowland Games/Playbus/Beat the Street

Assist Healthy Valleys sessional staff members in varying tasks = cooking classes – play – exercise classes – coached classes and any other required tasks.

Take part in volunteer training and any other training opportunities that are available within Healthy Valleys.

Healthy Valleys is a community led health improvement organisation located in rural South Lanarkshire which aims to promote health and well being opportunities in order to reduce health inequalities.

2 hours per week. Min commitment: 2 hours per week

Restrictions

Volunteers must be 18yrs or over. PVG Check and references will be required.
Experience required: Must be committed to the role and be enthusiastic in providing play and physical activity opportunities to children. Experience working with children is favourable but not essential as training is provided. Access to a car is preferred, however some sessions may be in areas that public transport is available.
Travel details: Various villages throughout Clydesdale
Minimum age: 18
