Minute Taker for Open Door Board of Trustees Meetings

The Board of Trustees meets on a Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm every eight weeks at the Civic Centre in Livingston, to discuss the overall strategic direction of Open Door and to make key decisions. There are currently nine people on the board, and the charities Director also attends. We need someone to make paraphrased notes of the boards discussions, including noting key actions, before typing them up and submitting them to the Director/ Board Secretary for circulation. Access to a computer can be provided at our office in Bathgate or our accommodation unit in Craigshill. Evening super is also provided prior to the start of the meeting.

Organisation aims and objectives

To secure the establishment of emergency hostel accommodation supported accommodation and tenancy support to young people between the ages of 16 to 25 years within West Lothian.











Experience required: Good written skills essential and ability to use MS Word. Previous note taking experience desirable. Interest in young people and homelessness also desirable.
Travel details: Travel costs will be reimbursed, including mileage claims.

Training details: Director will spend time with volunteer discussing what is required. Other opportunities may be available for further training as part of new project currently being developed.
