The service that we offer might take the form of a fortnightly visit for tea and company, or a weekly session to help with a more specific issue, such as supporting the client to fill in forms and access services. Perhaps the client could benefit from more intensive, more frequent support at times, and then be content with just a phone call at other times
The Royal British Legion Scotland exists to promote remembrance and comradeship and in a partnership with other ex-Service charities to be responsible for the provision of welfare, benevolence and pension support of ex-Servicemen and women and their dependents throughout Scotland.

Age restrictions due to insurance cover
Experience required: Volunteers must be a good communicator, enjoy company and have a desire to make a difference to those that may need their assistance
Travel details: The opportunity happens throughout East Renfrewshire and volunteers should arrange their own transport, the expense of which will be reimbursed

Expenses details: Transportation costs will be reimbursed monthly
Training details: This process should take half a day with training for the position. Initial visits will be carried out jointly with the Veterans Community Support Co-ordinator who will provide future advice, guidance and training
