Resource Befrienders may do some painting, joinery, gardening or anything practical that helps out the family on a practical level.
Every child deserves to thrive, children need to be loved and feel secure in their family. When families are isolated and struggling, their children can feel upset and afraid. Facing life alone is hard and when families feel like there is no one there to help, it is a scary place to be.

Volunteers give whatever time they can, weekly or monthly.
Experience required: We are looking for people who have a concern for others and are happy to invest their time with families in need. Everyone has varying degrees of life experience and can offer something to help someone else.
Travel details: Edinburgh and across the Lothians.
Minimum age: 21

Training details: Training for new volunteers is provided every month in Edinburgh, so they can choose a date that suits them to attend.
