Description

To help assist young people to undertake their Expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Most of our young people have additional support needs and require some extra support to ensure that they can complete the walks that have been planned. You will be part of a team that helps them achieve their Expedition. This is a rewarding opportunity to get to befriend and mentor young people that require that little bit of extra help to achieve.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Association was set up to advance the mental, physical and spiritual welfare of young people between the ages of 14 and 25 by promoting the scheme of Awards known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. In recent years, whilst maintaining the core function of the Association we have focused our activities on provision of support and experiential learning for targeted groups of young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN).
