You might have more skills in certain areas but our teams work together to fill any gaps and jump in to provide the best experience we can for the young people and vulnerable groups we are here to support. Hours: for the early birds join our breakfast team , for the mid-dayers, help out at lunch or if you fancy a dinner date then a later shift might suit you better. Seasonal – April to October You will receive induction and training in food hygiene, allergens, customer care, and health and safety. Responsibilities  Assist the cook to cater for large groups, clearing and dishwashing as required.  Serve meals to visiting groups, including any special dietary requirements  Make tea and coffee for groups and keep the refreshments area clean and well stocked.

Your role as a Clan events volunteer is essential in helping to generate the funds needed for us to provide our vital support services to people affected by cancer diagnosis in your local community. You could be asked to get involved in a variety of activities, whether it's manning a cheering point on one of our runs, walks or cycles, helping to welcome guests at our annual lunch or ball, or providing information at one of our open days, Typical activities include: - Helping to prepare for an event - this might involve preparing information and signage, setting up routes for runs/walks/cycles, sorting displays and activities, moving chairs and tables, putting up gazebos etc. - Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all attendees of Clan events, answering any questions and encouraging people to get involved in the event/activity -Assisting at larger scale events such as the Clan Ball or Clan Lunch - this might involve manning the car park, directing attendees to the right location, providing information, running stalls, assisting with activities, salling tickets or accept donations - Working together with Clan staff to ensure the best possible experience for our events attendees/participants and signposting where appropriate - Helping to raise awareness of Clan services

Quarriers Fundraising Team is responsible for all Quarriers key fundraising events activities which include Corporate Engagement and Community events. Our very successful events team are looking for Event Volunteers to support our many fundraising events throughout the year by attending events such as Noel Lunch, Ladies Lunch and our Festive event programme. We are looking for enthusiastic Fundraising & Events Volunteers to help provide essential support at one off events held throughout the year. Main Tasks - Attending events You could find yourself supporting at: - One of our challenge events such as Kiltwalk or Zipslide The Clyde - Helping at our annual Christmas Fayre - Assisting at our Festival of Choirs event throughout the month of December with coin collecting – you will not be asked to count the coin collection - Supporting at our flagship event, Noel Lunch - Selling our Christmas charity merchandise at local community market stalls and fayres. The Fundraising & Events Volunteer role is a flexible and rewarding volunteer role that can easily fit in around your lifestyle. And since dates/times for each event will vary, you will be required on an ad hoc basis only. Would you like to support people with learning disabilities to socialise and make friends? Dates-n-Mates is a friendship and dating agency for adults with learning disabilities. We run lots of social events and activities, helping people to meet others and to build friendships and relationships. Our work is underpinned by a human rights-based approach. We believe it is people's right to live life free of discrimination and to develop friendships and relationships of their choosing, to love and be loved. As an Events Supporter, your role is to help our members enjoy socialising in safe and friendly environments. Our events include going to restaurants, pubs, cinema, tenpin bowling, day trips and walks. The events are sociable, great fun and your role is very rewarding. A large number of people with learning disabilities feel lonely and socially isolated. Your support will help to change this.. Events take place afternoons and evenings and usually last 2 hours. We ask for a minimum of 4 hours per month. We are very flexible and aim to accomodate volunteers availability. dates-n-mates offer a variety of training and support to our volunteers. We require our volunteers to be a member of the PVG scheme but there is no cost to yourself. Access to additional training is available.
