Description

Be a Chairperson for a charity providing vital support and information for people with brain injury, their families and carers. The chairperson plays a vital role in assisting the board in organising the smooth running of the support group.

Build your experience and share your skills for Fife Headway. This role is vital to help run the work that they do.

The role is varied and may include the following:

-Planning the annual cycle of board meetings

-Setting agendas for board meetings

-Chairing and facilitating board meetings

-Giving direction to board policymaking

-Monitoring that decisions taken at meetings are implemented

-Representing the Headway Group at functions, meetings

-Acting as a spokesperson as appropriate

-Bringing impartiality and objectivity to decision-making

To help head injured gain a better quality of life, in turn, helping carers . We are aware of people out there in fife who have not heard of Fife Headway and if we can get support to them we will be completing the mission of helping in regaining confidence and make them feel better.

Experience required: -Leadership skills -Experience of committee work -Tact and diplomacy -Good communication and interpersonal skills -Impartiality, fairness and the ability to respect confidences
Travel details: Linton Lane Community Centre, Linton Lane, Kirkcaldy KY2 6LF Free parking, and the centre can be accessed by public transport.
