Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. To help with this we have great opportunities and need people to help out as volunteers for a range of roles including: *Food growing, gardeners, greenspace management, tidy ups volunteers. *Mentors, community engagement, events, entertainers (kids, adults, 55+). *Outdoors games & sports volunteers, building outdoor areas for residents (sheltered housing seating), health. *Artists/ Sculptors to begin on our Street Art & Design projects, and sculptures. *Admin, coordinators, team lead volunteers, advisors & support volunteers. *Drop-in café helpers, advisors, cooking assistants. All are fantastic opportunities to make a real difference for people and communities in Aberdeen. Excellent support and relevant training is provided to all volunteers. Are you 18+ living in Glasgow/North Lanarkshire and looking to make a difference to a young person in their community? Do you have 1-2 hours spare per week? Are you care experienced yourself or working towards a career in social care? Do you want to gain valuable experience, make a positive change, be part of a likeminded community all whilst having fun? We would love to hear from you! No experience necessary - just an open mind, kindness and compassion! Our service matches volunteer mentors to young people aged between 8-14years who are on the edge of care, in a kinship arrangement or on a CSO. Our mentees are looking for a person to build and grow a positive relationship, try new activities, tackle isolation, build confidence and have fun in the community! We provide in person training, ongoing support and a community of mentors who are there to share experiences. We are there to support you every step of the way! Our service covers all of Glasgow and North Lanarkshire, having a car is desirable but not essential. *This role requires 2 days of training in house and subject to PVG check*

An exciting opportunity to join the Under the Trees team, working in the great and beautiful outdoors whilst gaining valuable experience working with young children and young adults. You will potentially be working in all weathers and in all seasons - we can provide waterproofs! Under the Trees runs fun and educational sessions for school children in the Falkirk and Stirling areas, as well as a programme of public events for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Events run all year round. As a Volunteer Education Assistant, there will be opportunities for you to do a range of the following: - Assist with Educational Sessions for school groups, including term-time forest schools. - Assist with sessions for the general public, including a monthly nature club for ages 0-13. - Assist with holiday play sessions and family events. - Plan and lead in activities. - Maintain resources effectively. - Keep session areas safe and tidy. - Desk-based activities in planning, creating materials and administration.

Week by week, our volunteers inspire and provide #SkillsForLife for young people aged 4-25. We support Scouting in the Borders, Braid, Craigalmond, East Lothian, Edinburgh North East, Midlothian and Pentland areas Our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts learn new skills, make new friends and stand on their own two feet. They’re supported by our everyday heroes - adult volunteers who shape young people’s lives for the better and find out a whole lot about themselves in the process, too. You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. You don’t need to have been a Scout when you were younger. You don’t even need to know how to put up a tent. Our door is open to people of all ages, genders, races, and backgrounds, and we’re only able to change lives because people like you lend a hand. We’re talking about tea makers, tidy-uppers, and skill sharers. We’re talking about minibus drivers and first aiders. We’re talking about students who want to boost their CV, and parents who volunteer so they can spend more time together as a family. Whatever your skillset, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you’ll get more out than you put in. Because whether you’re helping a leader to run an activity in the local town hall, organising a night away, or buttering 120 slices of bread a group of very hungry eleven-year olds - no two Scout meetings are the same. The difference you make, though, is always great. We provide the training. You show up, get stuck in, and make memories for life. As long as you're over 18, you can help out as an adult volunteer in Scouting. Don’t fancy working directly with young people? We also have roles in governance, administration, planning, social media and much more! Get in touch with your local group and offer your skills/time.
