Scotland’s Gardens SCheme is Scotland’s growing, giving and inspiring community of garden-lovers. Our mission is to raise funds for charity by encouraging, promoting and supporting garden openings, whilst making the experience inspiring, rewarding and enjoyable for all. We are seeking new volunteers across Scotland to join our local volunteer teams to help support gardens to open their gates to the public and raise money for charity. This is a wonderful opportunity to:
· Be part of a volunteer team which helps to raise funds for hundreds of charities by sharing gardens with visitors
· Use your skills to help promote, organise and/or support gardens to open their gates to the public and raise money for charity

Scotland's Gardens raises money for charity by encouraging, promoting and supporting garden owners to open their gardens to the public; raising money for a charity of their choice through admissions, plant sales and refreshments.
Averaging between 1 - 4 hours per week, depending on opportunities and location.
Experience required: For some roles it may be helpful to be comfortable with IT and have numeracy skills but training will be provided.
Travel details: Some activity may be carried out from home and some activity such as volunteering at events would require visiting gardens.

Taster details: We can arrange an informal chat over the phone or in person to talk through volunteering in more detail and answer any questions.
Training details: We hold regular online welcome events for new volunteers and offer training via zoom or in person for specific activities such as using our database; ongoing support is also available from Head Office team.
