Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. To help with this we have great opportunities and need people to help out as volunteers for a range of roles including: *Food growing, gardeners, greenspace management, tidy ups volunteers. *Mentors, community engagement, events, entertainers (kids, adults, 55+). *Outdoors games & sports volunteers, building outdoor areas for residents (sheltered housing seating), health. *Artists/ Sculptors to begin on our Street Art & Design projects, and sculptures. *Admin, coordinators, team lead volunteers, advisors & support volunteers. *Drop-in café helpers, advisors, cooking assistants. All are fantastic opportunities to make a real difference for people and communities in Aberdeen. Excellent support and relevant training is provided to all volunteers. The Carrick Community Food Garden (CCFG) invites you to discover the joy of growing fruit and vegetables, building and creating with members of your community garden, where everyone shares the work and the harvest. Being part of a community garden is a great activity to do by yourself or with friends and family and a good opportunity to get outdoors, learn new skills, meet new and like-minded people, keep active, improve mental health and contribute towards your community and the environment. All work is supervised, tasks could include clearing the ground in preparation for food growing, planting, seed sowing, weeding, digging, harvesting produce, building raised beds, shifting compost and general site maintenance or occasional help with events and sharing ideas. We share the harvest with our community food pantry, contributors, the groups we support and when possible we cook and share meals on site. We encourage people of all ages and levels of fitness, from complete beginners to experienced growers there is a way for you to contribute to your community garden. At CCFG we are very flexible, you can drop in to learn more and see what it's like before you decide to contribute your time and energy.

Tarbolton Community Council is a voluntary organisation made up of local residents, each with a genuine interest in the community. Their main role is to be representative through consultation with the local community, and make it known to the local authority and other public bodies the views of local people on all matters affecting them. If you're interested to help out our community in Tarbolton doing various tasks depending on what's happening in our village. Some tasks may include: - Gardening - Participating in events - Maintaining public areas - and any other tasks that might be needed by the TCC We welcome all volunteers, even if it is just for a couple of hours a week or a month. We would also welcome any suggestions and ideas which could benefit our community.

We are a small charity concerned with the restoration and care of the ancient woodlands of Troon. We have been in operation since 2015, raising funds for improvements and planting. We host regular volunteer work parties, tackling jobs such as invasive species control, tree planting and repairing paths. Together with the South Ayrshire Ranger Service and Scottish Wildlife Trust, Ayrshire, we regularly involve schools and community groups in woodland activities. Our volunteer work parties are usually held on the last Sunday of the month, April to September 2pm till 4pm and October to March 10am-12noon. No experience or tools required. We have tasks to suit all abilities. Age 15 and over. Meet us at the noticeboard, wear study footwear and clothing to protect you from brambles and nettles.
