Would you like to join Play Alloa's Board of Directors?

They are looking for two new external Directors to help Play Alloa Clackmannanshire in its great work supporting people with disabilities and additional needs.

Play Alloa are looking for Directors who will passionately inform their services by bringing new skills and experience to help lead the organisation.

They are particularly (but not exclusively) interested in individuals with experience in the following fields:

  • Finance
  • Funding/Fundraising
  • Publicity/Marketing and Digital Innovation
  • Strategic Planning

Play Alloa are looking for people who share their values; that are passionate and committed about supporting children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional support needs; who can be creative in building the charity's profile; and work closely with their team of stakeholders to deliver outstanding person-centred services to our beneficiaries.

The Board usually meets quarterly (either in-person or via Zoom).

Organisation aims and objectives

Play Alloa aims to provide a creative, life-enhancing range of play and social opportunities for children and adults with disabilities and additional support needs and, in doing so, strengthen their ability to achieve their full potential. We aims to provide parents and siblings respite from their caring role and support to the whole family through information, peer support and improved respite care opportunities. We aim to provide our service users with effective skills and experiences which will enhance their life and will develop the concept of early intervention, transition and inclusion. Play Alloa aims to form an integral part of the local community, effectively contributing by providing employment, voluntary opportunities, work experience, developing life skills for the future, and promoting inclusion via our unique service. In order to do this, Play Alloa provides a range of age appropriate play and social activities across the week to parents/carers, and their children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional support needs from across Clackmannanshire.
