Description

The Dundee Fair Trade Forum is a group of local people who maintain Fairtrade City status for Dundee. We are looking for someone to take on creating attractive social media posts so that more people locally are aware of the benefits of Fair Trade for producers, local businesses and consumers. The Fairtrade Mark is the only product certification scheme which has poverty reduction at its heart. The role will involve keeping up to date with what's happening within the Fairtrade movement, making links with consumers and businesses locally through appropriate social media channels, and especially promoting Fairtrade Fortnight (27th Feb to 12th March). This is an opportunity to build your communication and social media skills, learn more about Fair Trade, and network with those who are working to promote it in the local community.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Dundee Fair Trade Forum is the Steering Group which works to maintain Fairtrade City status for Dundee, and to promote understanding of Fair Trade within Dundee City Council and to the general public of Dundee.
