We are looking for enthusiastic Event Coordinators to help plan and execute community events. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing volunteer teams, and liaising with partners to ensure successful events. Responsibilities: Plan and organize community events such as meet and greets, cultural festivals, and workshops. Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup and teardown. Manage volunteer teams and delegate tasks effectively. Liaise with partners and vendors to ensure smooth event execution.

BECYCLE Workshop SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation – charity number: SC053291) is a small, wholly volunteer operated and donations based community bike workshop that provides a free place to access practical help, education, learning and advice for maintaining and repairing bikes. The workshop also provides free bikes to children (u18) and loans out bikes to anyone, with a fully returnable deposit system. It is currently open twice a week (8 hours), every week of the year, no matter the weather. Every person that volunteers at the workshop becomes a bike mechanic first and foremost - no matter how much experience you have just now with bikes or tools. You’ll learn quickly and surprise yourself with the amount you can take onboard - and you’ll be well supported by volunteers with decades of experience at fixing bikes and helping people. Don’t worry though about being the odd one out, none of us get paid and never will. In addition further roles we are looking for specialists in are; - Accountant - Fundraising - Graphic Design - Social Media Manager - Videographer On top of the two in-person sessions (Monday and Wednesday 4-8pm), most volunteers offer their time and expertise in a variety of areas that keep the workshop ticking over, or assist specific functions that align with their background and experience such as driving, photography or social media. We are formed of a group of dozens of volunteers from various backgrounds, ages, life experiences and nationalities. Our greatest strength is the trust we have in each other and encouraging the individual talents of each volunteer, that help make the workshop what it is today. The 70/30 Campaign is aiming to reduce child abuse and neglect by 70% by 2030. As a 70/30 Ambassador you will be empowering your local community to protect our children by spreading awareness and gaining support to prevent child abuse and neglect from happening in the first place. You will gain new skills, and be part of a large network of volunteers and professionals, while making a real difference in your local community and across the UK. The role is very flexible and depends on your skills and on the needs in your local area, but you can take part in a range of activities, such as: spreading awareness with people you know and on social media; fundraising; organising events; engaging with MPs, MSPs, AMs and councillors; engaging with local press; expanding your local 70/30 group. Ambassadors will take part in a training session with a member of the team and are invited to join the bi-monthly national conference call with other ambassadors across the country.
