Kingswells Community Centre and Webster Park provide welcoming facilities for use by all members of the community and are continuing to develop and grow for the needs of our future generations. We currently require a volunteer to be a Treasurer on our Management Committee and would welcome anyone with finance experience to join us in helping develop our centres further and provide quality experiences for the community. It would involve attending regular 6 weekly committee meetings and liaising with the Manager of the centre to produce financial reports to present at the meetings. There would also be end of year reports required to be prepared for submitting for auditing. We are a friendly group and we even provide biscuits at our meetings! Management Committee Member Save By The Bell (SBTB) is a school-based project which aims to provide financial education to pupils and to complement financial inclusion initiatives within the city of Dundee. We aim to encourage children and young people to develop a regular savings habit which can be sustained during their adult life. We are currently looking for volunteers to serve on our Management Committee which oversees the business operations of SBTB - setting priorities in the use of staff and other resources. The management committee meets quarterly to review the latest financial results and address any queries or issues that have been raised. We are looking for individuals with an interest in the aims of Save By The Bell, which are to give young people in Dundee the opportunity to learn about saving and help them gain an understanding of how money works. Financial education is a top priority for Save By The Bell and it is the role of the management committee to help the charity achieve this objective. Expectations are that there will be at least five meetings per year, made up of four quarterly review meetings and an AGM held in May/June. All applicants will be considered as we believe a management committee with a diverse mix of skills and experience will best serve the charity. Role Title: Trustee/Treasurer Role description of volunteering opportunity: The Club runs its own powerchair football training sessions on Tuesdays between 7pm and 10pm at the Citadel in Ayr. Sessions specifically designed for wheelchair users across the Ayrshire region. Ayrshire Tigers PFC is a community-based Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) based in Ayr which works in partnership with the Scottish Powerchair Football Association (SPFA) to provide equal opportunities for powerchair users in Ayrshire to engage in team sport. The Club is an independent organisation run by its own board of trustees which is elected by its members. The club is focused on providing opportunities to play, coach and support powerchair football and is open to everyone. The team is currently playing in the Scottish Powerchair Football Championship. The Club was formed to benefit wheelchair users living in Ayrshire to engage in team sport and prevent isolation by offering a place for people to come and feel welcome, have fun and be part of a team.
