Description

Join the Board of Clutter Chat to help steer this young charity that supports those with chronic clutter and hoarding habits through self help groups. See our website for more details of our work www.clutterchat.co.uk

We have Glasgow based and online meet-ups giving support, encouragement and inspiration for dealing with life’s material clutter. Clutter affects everyone: it affects all ages, heritages, and walks of life. Clutter Chat gives us an open honest space to talk about the issues we are currently facing and give support and encouragement to others with their issues.

Clutter Chat are seeking a Board Secretary who will be in charge of helping to organise and take minutes of our monthly Board meetings which are held on Zoom. You would ideally have skills in note taking, maintaining effective records, an interest in mental health and self help groups and experience of new and growing organisations.

The Board Secretary will liaise with the Chair in preparation of the agenda for monthly meetings, attend and minute the two hour meet, circulate the minutes and undertake any needed follow up activities. There will be some liaison with other board members during the month, as and when required.

Currently our self help groups are still meeting on Zoom - we are looking to meet in person again, and to expand our membership. We have secured grant funding and in January engaged a part time Development Worker.

If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org
