Biggar Netball Club, is an exciting club that is expanding in many directions across the Clydesdale area with a netball development pathway for all ages and stages in Carluke, Lanark and Biggar. The role of Treasurer is changing at the club. We have recently adopted a new online sports club management system and all of our payments and money handling is online. We therefore seek someone with financial management or book-keeping experience or someone with database management experience. Ideally you will have some voluntary experience and know what it means to manage finance on behalf of a club or committee. You will also have experience of dealing with banks and making payments from a club/treasurers account. The work can all be done from home although anyone taking on the role will be very welcome to come and see our club in operation and take to the court if they wish. The most regular duties involve overseeing the online payments and making sure they are up to date; making sure all payments are made for hall-lets and equipment; taking payments for the online shop for club kit and branded items; preparing reports for the committee on income and expenditure and liaising with the Executive by giving an annual forecast for the season that can be easily adjusted to assess income/expenditure changes. There is also the need to prepare mini balance sheets for specific funds that are received by the club.
