The Carrick Centre Cafe is now open open Monday to Saturday 9am to 3pm, offering a wide range of tasty snacks and savoury dishes as well as freshly ground coffee.
Besides giving a great service to the local community, we also support several staff and trainees who have additional support needs all of whom provide a valuable service in our training café.
We are constantly looking for cafe volunteers to keep up this service going. Can you help?
Volunteers can choose their shift patterns as required and do not have to cover all hours. Whether you volunteer to get your volunteering hours for the DoE or Saltire Awards, whether it is because you enjoy meeting people or perhaps to learn new skills, being a cafe volunteer is an excellent opportunity.
Volunteers may be asked to do some or any of the following at our self-service cafe:
Young people following the Saltire Awards or the Duke of Edinburgh award can apply. The Carrick Centre supports all volunteers and has a no barrier approach to volunteering. All capabilities welcome, the only requirement would be the willingness to participate and support the community.
