Description

We are looking for Community Engagement Officers to help raise awareness of the support that Covid Aid offers individuals affected by Covid-19 and how it can be accessed.
The duties of a Community Engagement Officer may include:
Engaging with public and third sector organisations in your local area, in order to raise awareness of Covid Aid and the support we offer
Initiating and maintaining contact, initially by phone and email, but with the potential to attend meetings and give presentations about Covid Aid’s work (either via video call or in person)
Developing and regularly reviewing presentations and other communication materials
Maintaining accurate records of work undertaken

Every single person in the UK has been significantly affected by Covid-19. covid:aid has been designed as a fully inclusive space to service the needs of all who have suffered – whoever they are, wherever they live, and whatever their circumstance. By building an empowering and caring community, we want to help anyone who may not have found the right resources or support system to help. We provide a safe space where your voice can be heard, and you can gain access to support specific to your needs.

Experience required: We are looking for self motivated individuals with the following: Great communication skills and confident engaging with a wide range of audiences Ability to work under own initiative, prioritise tasks and manage workload with minimal supervision Confident in public speaking Competent IT skills (e.g. in the use of video conferencing) Experience of Community Engagement
Travel details: Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Volunteering can be remote and/or face to face.
Minimum age: 16
