Girls Empowerment Club Facilitator & Mentor

We are looking for volunteers based in Falkirk to facilitate our proposed Girls Empowerment Club and are keen to be creative and share their ideas when it comes to how the group is run.

Facilitators will have a key role in helping to establish a Girls Empowerment Club at St. James Research Centre.


  • Committing to hosting/attending regular club meetings
  • Planning/carrying out activities for each meeting
  • Mentoring the girls at the club, using your own life experiences and skills to empower and encourage them to achieve their goals

Organisation aims and objectives

Established by Global Family Care Network in Scotland. Our goal is to equip leaders to conduct research and implement programmes in community-based development, prevention of modern slavery, rehabilitation and psycho-therapeutic programmes for victims of human trafficking, and orphan care. Will you join us?










4pm-6pm on Wednesdays, although this could be changed if need be. Please bear in mind that Facilitators will decide what time the club will start.


Volunteers will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland background check. Volunteers must live in Falkirk.
Experience required: We are looking for people who live in and know the Falkirk community well and are willing to be proactive in sharing their thoughts on how best to run the club for Falkirk. Applicants must be capable of working with children and able to communicate the message coming from the curriculum.
Travel details: The meetings and club will be held at St. James Research Centre, Thornhill Road, Falkirk, FK2 7AZ.
Minimum age: 18


Training details: Volunteers will be trained to deliver the curriculum to children at the Empowerment Club. Global Family are an accredited short course provider and volunteers can choose to take various courses. The support will consist of regular 1-2-1s ensuring the volunteers are content.
