Volunteer Community Fundraiser
Would you like to make a difference to the lives of people with
autism or learning disabilities by helping to raise funds in your local
community? Have fun? Discover new interests? Meet new people?
Look no further than our fantastic volunteer fundraiser opportunity!
Equal Futures creates connections for people with a learning
disability or autism and their family carers through Circles of
Support, befriending and social events. You will work as part of
a small team of dedicated volunteers to organise fundraising
events, such as coffee mornings, raffles and auctions, quiz nights
and suppers, and support other fundraisers who get involved in
local events, such as the KiltWalk. You will benefit from ongoing
skills development as well as friendly, professional support from
our Project Coordinators and Fundraising staff.
What will you do as a Volunteer Fundraiser?
You will meet with a small group of Volunteer Fundraisers on
a regular basis to come with up with ideas to raise funds for our
small charity. You’ll plan, book and execute community-centric
events, with support from professional fundraisers, identify which
resources you’ll need and liaise with local organisations to get
things underway. You’ll use your passion and enthusiasm to win
support from local companies and businesses and help to ensure
Equal Futures is their charity of choice.

Equal Futures is an organisation set up by a group of parents with a family member with a learning disability. This gives a unique viewpoint to the range of challenges families face when they want to make sure that their sons and daughters live a good life. Many families feel isolated; unsure where to ask for help. Most people with disabilities will have social care services to provide support for daily living. But there is often a lack of understanding in these services that people want more than this. Everyone wants friends too – this is where Equal Futures can help.
